Shipping Policy
Please note that "processing" times and "shipping" times are different.
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. This means that the order is received, your payment is collected by the system, and the order is forwarded to the warehouse for fulfillment. This does not mean that your order will be shipped within 2 business days, however. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days but occasionally, due to Amish holidays or trade shows or other events that MillerTech participates in, a shipment may be delayed. In all cases, your order is guaranteed to ship within 3 business days.
You may request a tracking number but one will not be automatically sent to you. This is because it is a manual process that must be done by hand. Please see the FAQ page for more information on the reason for that.
All orders processed by the online checkout will ship by UPS ground but occasionally the warehouse will choose another carrier at their discretion. We do not guarantee any timeframe of delivery after shipping your order. If you need the product overnighted, please contact us.
All products are warehoused and drop shipped by the manufacturer and we are not able to track quantity on hand or guarantee availability. In the event that you place an order and the product ends up being out of stock and you do not wish to wait for restocking, we will offer you a full refund.
UPS is the default carrier for all online orders. In some rare cases, the warehouse may choose to ship via USPS or Fedex.
Shipping Rates
Please note that shipping is only available to the continental 48 states of the United States of America. For shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, please contact us and we can provide you a shipping quote (do not use the online checkout). Unfortunately, our order system will take Alaska and Hawaii orders and offer you free shipping just like the lower 48. However, we reserve the right to hold your order and bill you for the additional shipping expense if you do not contact us beforehand.
We cannot ship outside of the United States sorry. No exceptions.
Some Canadian customers have had success using shipping forwarders but we cannot recommend or vouch for any specific company.
Flat shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order are calculated by weight for simplicity. Sometimes that means that relatively inexpensive items that are bulky or heavy may cost more than expected to ship.
Free shipping: We offer free ground shipping for individual items over $300 (unless freight shipping is required). If you order multiple items and some are over $300 and some are less than $300, the system will charge you shipping for the items under $300 and not the others. The order system will not automatically detect that an order requires freight shipping. Thus, it may look like your order will ship free. However, items above the bulk and weight limits of UPS or Fedex will ship freight and we will hold the order and charge you the freight shipping rate.
Shipping To P.O. Boxes or Unusual Addresses
We do not ship to PO boxes through the online checkout. If you need something delivered to a PO box, please contact us first so we can try to make sure it can be delivered there. If your address is an unusual address that is not listed in the UPS address system, please contact us first so we can work something out. Failure to contact us ahead of time may result in your order being lost in shipping or returned to the warehouse. If this occurs, we reserve the right to hold the order and charge you additional shipping for a re-delivery attempt. We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in shipping under any circumstances.
Freight Shipping
All orders that require freight shipping are not eligible for free shipping.
Some items are too heavy or bulky for UPS, Fedex, or USPS. Those products will ship via freight. For those shipments, we will hold the order and attempt to contact you to arrange for the freight delivery. We will also hold the order and charge you for the freight shipping cost. We will provide freight tracking information after the order has been shipped but we cannot guarantee any timeframe and will not be responsible for damage, delays, or additional fees that may be incurred. Please direct any inquiries about the status of freight shipping to the appropriate shipping company unless there is a customer service dispute. We will try to help however possible but cannot guarantee a resolution to your satisfaction.
Shipping To Canada
We do not ship to Canada and we cannot make special exceptions.
However, we can recommend using a forwarding service to facilitate the process. A forwarding service will receive your order to an address in the United States and then make the arrangements for export to Canada. So it does take some extra time and extra cost but ordering from Canada is possible to do. It just cannot be done directly from our website.
Prior customers have had good success using a company called Stackry (https://www.stackry.com/en). You can choose extra insurance and extra packaging and a specific carrier you want to work with (such as DHL) that you know will deliver to your address. So costs vary based on your choices. But for an inverter order, we are told that it costs around $60-80 CAD.
